Tybee Island Marine Science Center

Non-profit marine-science education center on Tybee Island, Georgia — the closest barrier island to Savannah. Operates a public aquarium with regional marine species (loggerhead sea turtle, diamondback terrapin, blue crab, horseshoe crab, spotted seatrout), a sea-turtle stranding-and-rehabilitation program, beach-and-dune restoration work, and year-round education programs serving Savannah-area schools and the visiting public.
