Hotel Fauchère

An 1880 boutique inn and restaurant in Milford, Pennsylvania, on the eastern edge of the Pocono region overlooking the Delaware River. Founded by Louis Fauchère, formerly maître d'hôtel at Delmonico's in New York City. Operated by the Fauchère family until 1976; closed and deteriorated for nearly three decades; restored 2001–2006 by local preservationists Sean Strub and Richard Snyder. Today a 16-room hotel with the Delmonico Room (fine dining), Bar Louis (bistro), and the Patisserie.
