A private non-profit founded in 1961 dedicated to the conservation and preservation of Delaware's natural areas. The largest not-for-profit, non-governmental landowner in Delaware. Has played a pivotal role in the permanent protection of more than 31,800 acres across the Delmarva region; today owns and actively manages more than 21,800 acres. Integrates traditional uses — hunting, farming, forestry — into management. Long-term goal: connect fragmented ecosystems across the entire Delmarva region.
