The original 60-acre parcel was bought in 1904; the operation has grown across four generations to 600 acres and is now one of the largest orchards in Maryland.
The operation runs two integrated locations:
- Baugher Road orchard (1015 Baugher Rd, Westminster) — the working orchard. U-pick in season; the on-site bakery and a smaller orchard-stand retail.
- 289 West Main Street, Westminster — the Restaurant & Fruit Market, built and opened in 1948 to sell [[the-orchard|the orchard]]‘s fruit directly to Westminster residents. Still operating as a sit-down restaurant + fruit retail.
