What they do
Located in eastern Ohio, Lone Oak Farms was established in 1975. We have been selling produce at the Ohio Valley Farmers’ Market since 2002. In addition to produce, we raise laying hens for egg production, have a small herd of beef cattle and goats, and produce hay.
Why it’s listed
Lone Oak Farms carries [[certified-naturally-grown|Certified Naturally Grown]] certification — a peer-reviewed, transparent ecological standard built for small farms that meet or exceed organic practice but for whom federal [[usda-organic|USDA Organic]] certification is cost-prohibitive. A real third-party signal, which is why this enters the directory at verification: corroborated.
