Most online communities are noise. The Builder Cohort is the opposite — a small, slow, paid group of people doing the actual work of bioregional regenerative building. Farms. Hempcrete homes. Mycology co-ops. Land trusts. Tool libraries. Watershed restoration. Hospice gardens. Apothecaries. Whatever the bioregion you live in needs that you have decided to build.

Capped at 60 members. Quarterly intake. One annual gathering at one of the platform's bioregion anchors. Monthly call. Private letters surface for the kind of question you don't want to ask in a public forum.

Sliding scale to $150 if the standard rate is a barrier. Pay-what-feels-right above $300 if it doesn't.

Who this is for

  • People actively building something bioregional. Not researching. Not "thinking about it." Building.
  • People who would benefit from being in regular contact with 50+ others doing the same kind of work in different bioregions.
  • People comfortable with the platform's posture — long-horizon, multi-lens, mission-aligned, allergic to hype.
  • People who can give as much as they take. The cohort runs on mutual aid, not extraction.

Who this is not for

  • People looking for general regenerative-ag community (large free Discords serve this well).
  • People looking for a course or a curriculum (this is peer learning, not instruction).
  • People hoping the cohort will tell them what to build (we won't; we'll help you build what you've already chosen).
  • People treating this as a marketing channel for their existing offerings.

What's included

  • Monthly call. 90 minutes, the second Tuesday of each month. One member presents what they're stuck on; the cohort responds. Recorded for members who can't attend live.
  • Private letters surface. A long-form, slow-moving forum. Members write monthly updates on what they're building, ask substantive questions, leave honest accounts of what's working and what's not. Read by everyone, replied to thoughtfully, not gamified.
  • Annual gathering. Three days at one of the bioregion anchors (rotating — this year in the Poconos, hosted at Magnolia Streamside or the Himalayan Institute). Travel and lodging at member cost; the gathering itself is included in membership.
  • Quarterly office hour with 0. Direct synthesis from the platform's perspective — what we're seeing across all five bioregions, what patterns are emerging, what threats are surfacing.
  • Member directory. So you can find others in your bioregion, in your phase, working with adjacent skills.

What's not included

  • Constant Slack-style chatter. The forum is slow on purpose.
  • "Networking events" or speed-dating-style introductions.
  • Coursework or required reading.
  • A guarantee that your project will succeed. The cohort improves your odds; it does not move the work for you.

A note on size

The cohort is capped at 60 members on purpose. At 60 you can know everyone. At 200 you can't. The cap is the feature.

When cohorts open for intake (quarterly), the slots fill on a first-fit basis — alignment with the cohort's posture matters more than application order, but applications submitted in the first week of an intake window are read first.
